Studying Spiders

Charlette's Web is responsible for my twins' new love of spiders. Not the book yet -- they are much too young for that -- but the movie instead. So, in the spirit of Halloween, we studied spiders. We made spiders out of paper and hung them on our "wall cobweb."

The best part of our "study" was the doorway cobweb we created. Simple. (Scotch tape only) Educational. The girls threw cotton balls to represent the flies and things that pass through the web and see how they become caught in the web. And fun. The girls were entertained for almost an hour and still ask if they can catch more "bugs" in their web.
